I saw comment of compalints that the program crashes & freezes after awhile, I thought since I have a very powerful PC it wouldn't matter. Boy was I wrong. Complained to Steam about it & they didn't want to do anything. So I'm out of pocket & have this terrible program left in my libary not being used & still paying for Adobe CC. I would never recommmend this to anyone, so save your money as it's not worth the price tag.. I've been a long time user for Vegas pro. and this software is a must have for any video editor!. it will help a lot to make promo videos needed for workshop artists on steam. and it will help a lot on making .avi videos that will be later converted to gifs to make necessary promo images to be put on the item(s) desc. i reommend getting it especially when it is on sale now! 10/10 works smoothly!. This Software has failed me, more than an Asian kid fails his parents by getting all B's on his Report card. I have spent well over 30 hours editing video footage. Vegas Pro 15 has taken "leeps and bounds" in how quick it is editing a quick video. Leeps foward, and crash/bounds backwards and you get to repeat the last 5 editting steps you just created. what was i doing when "this" problem occured? i'm not even sure myself, did it crash when i added the media gerated text for an intro? Was it the overlapping videos? Was it adding a music track? was it rendering? was the preview not keeping frames while the track kept playing? was it changing the preview to get a better look at the crossfade time? was it editing the track to give it a "bump" effect? sharpness added? brightness? coror corrector? all seem like simple things a $1,600 laptop can easily handle. Yet i experience crash, after crash of this software. I just keep thinking of how much this program costs, and I feel i would have been more satisfied spending my money on strippers and blow. I mean at least thats relieving some of my emotion scars. We can produce drones capable of flying miles away for the average consumer, cars that can park themselves, ask a bot to set us an appointment for a haircut. Throughout all of this, one of the top programs to edit video cant seem to tell me why a video will render 93% then stop.....not fix itself, not close out, but just stop..... My production company has been using Vegas Pro for many, many years. I'm sorry to say, at least with our systems Vegas 15 is not fit for purpose. Timelines with many clips on can take an age to load. Like 15 or twenty minutes, whereas in Vegas 13 the project would be loaded in a minute. Avoid 15 and go for 14.. a "better" version of VEGAS that won't install.. Vegas Pro has been my go to video editing for many years. I like it's simplicity and workflow. For my daily work i need a fast and easy to use editing program that does not overload me with features and options. This is not to say that Vegas Pro does not have advanced options. It just does a really good job at not cluttering the UI.I can usually get a Youtube video ready within 10 minutes. Using templates and archive footage. Encode it and upload. If i need to do complicated video effects i switch to Premiere or After Effects but for the daily work this is perfect.What bothers me a little is that there is no separate encoding application to queue multiple videos so i can encode and keep editing other videos.PRO: Good UI, simple interface, fast workflow.CON: No separate encoding application. (there is batch Rendering). DO NOT BUY I have been using SVP 15 steam edition for quite some time and have had nothing but problems with it. over 50 hours of program usage and every now and then I get an error code 59 basically stating that I don't own the license to run it anymore even if I had just used the program the day before. this software is a headache and a half.. this software is great i use it for my youtube channel and its easy than enyother edited software so would recommend this to enyone :)
